The Sleep Cycle

Understanding what your baby’s sleep cycle looks like helps you begin to analyze why your baby is waking.

Is your child waking at an interval of 45 minutes? Is your baby struggling to transition at the 20/25 minute mark of sleep?  

Gathering and tracking patterns helps you analyze why your baby is waking when you feel they should be able to sleep longer.

Sleep Cues

Knowing what a sleep cycle looks like and combining that information with reading cues, you will feel more equipped to analyze your schedule and adapt your response to what your child is communicating. I always start with baby's cues and therefore all my programs are baby-led.  Babies are born master communicators but can stop communicating if caregivers do not pick up on their cues.  Do not worry if you are still struggling to decipher your baby's hunger cues vs. sleep cues.  You are not alone.
